One of the most emotional movies that you’ll see thanks to the wonderful child actor, Thomas Horn, in his remarkable debut performance. All of the supporting actors were wonderful in a quieter way.
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is based on the 2005 novel by Jonathan S. Foer.
Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock are married with a son with Asperger syndrome (Thomas Horn), and the family was affected by the events of 9/11. It’s a humdinger of an emotional roller coaster with superb acting and well worth the ride.

When I read the book The Help, penned by Kathryn Stockett, I was so moved by it that I hoped that a movie would follow. Surprisingly, the book was rejected 60 times before it was published.
It has the perfect elements for a film: humor and pathos that make you cry and laugh throughout the story.
Though it’s set against the backdrop of southern racial tension and terror in the 1960′s, that is not the focus of the story. It’s about the bonds of trust and friendship.

There are many elements that make a movie great but one of the most powerful are movie soundtracks.
How much music is indelibly linked to moments in movies is proven every time that we instantly picture a scene or movie whenever we hear a song.
This article features popular movies that borrowed from the rich treasure grove of 80′s music such as American Gigolo, The Breakfast Club, Say Anything, The Wedding Singer, Thelma and Louise and The Lost Boys. Some of the songs listed below were from earlier eras but are included because they were featured in a popular 80′s movie soundtrack such as Marvin Gaye’s 60′s hit “Heard it From a Grapevine” in The Big Chill.
Singer/actress Irene Cara sang the theme song to Fame and Flashdance. She was also the lead actress in Fame and two songs that she sang in the movie were nominated for Oscars. (The other song was “Out Here On My Own”.)
